May 13th, the day after my yankee stadium graduation. I'm officially unaffiliated from NYU!
Can't believe 4 years just went by like that. Barely slept the night before the ceremony since i stayed up til 3AM trying to sort out things to bring and soo excited to see my parents. Mom and dad took a 2AM bus.. arrived around 6AM. Dad laid on the couch for a little bit.. i couldn't fall back to sleep once they arrived.. so i started getting ready. The weather sucked balls. I couldn't really wear my beautiful grad dress i got from Macy :(. Couldn't rock my 5 inch heels either.. o they are a little big so i have to figure out what to do .. in times for my birthday. They are sooo cuteee but im stupid and got the larger size. It rained throughout the ceremony so i stuck to my 20 dollar flats i bought 2 years ago. Had to wear legging under the dress and.. put on a fleece and a cardigan under the gown. Hence it looks like i gained a lot of weight in all my grad pic except one inside the apartment. Curled my hair which looked a lot nicer than the first time i did it back in 8th grade.. can't believe i used the sam curling iron i got for graduation back when i was 13..
Left the house around 8:30..All of us took the B express train from Grand .. and got off at 161? or 166 stop yankee stadium at around 9:30AM. 2 people congratzed me on the ride there hehe. Stayed inside the station to take a few pics. Saw a whole lot of purple. Had to hold an umbrella throughout the wait there. Had to separate from my parents. They went through gate 6 and i went through 8. Stood outside the entrance (passed the ticket acceptor though).. and waited for friends. First saw Helene.. took pic and saw her for a little bit. She was waiting for Tiff Yang. I was waiting for Jess Liu.. later on Carolyn came too.. and then went in with Ryan to save seats. Qian, Kelly, and John Lin showed up after we went to the bathroom to put on panchos .. and we already decided to sit in the first row for CAS and take the rain like a man hehe. The ceremony was abbreviated due to the shitty weather. It was in the high 40s/low 50s.. raining.. throughout.. Dad got a little sick from the cold.. I just shiver thru the whole entire thing.. it was fun nevertheless because I loved the people i was with. When they began singing the national anthem.. I was really touched and wanted to cry.. i thought about how this is the way i'll remember my college graduation forever. By the time im in my death bed.. this is one of my fondest memories. WoW
Nothing really stood out from the ceremony.. Carolyn and John napped through some parts of it.. at the end when they were asking every1 to stand up.. Jess, Kelly, and I were already in the bathroom .. had to pee haha. We missed the ending.. and just left to find out parents. Took me a good 30 mins to find my parents. They sat at section 210.. and I was in section 110.. somehow we still managed to NOT find each other. We had to meet in front of the McDonald instead. Took a lot of wubby pics with them. I wished my Wai bear was there too. Took the train home immediately afterward. D train ftw. I took grandparents home.. mom dad, gma went to pick up the body check up report.. and then off to Flushing.
They wanted to purchase a condo there. Since gma sold the house in HK.. she wanted to use the money to invest in a condo here.. and rent it out. Mom pays for half.. she pays for the other half. Flushing is really booming.. especially the Chinese community.. definitely a good investment. In addition, gma's 2 brothers are there too.. so in case in the future she wants to take the apartment back.. she can live there herself. After they came back from the trip, they told me they are going to buy it for 220k. And working on the paperwork process. I'm thrilled :).
Afterward.. dad and I walked to the 3 bao fan place.. and bought 3 big boxes home. 1 just roasted pork, 1 pork and chicken, 1 pork and gold pig thing.. I pigged out.. arg LOVE THE FOOOODD my fav cheap eat.
Not long after they all ate.. it was time for them to go to catch the bus. They caught the 7:30 bus.. and i was left with my gma again. I miss my daddy a lot :(.. wished he could stay longer. I can't wait for them to move to NY one day..
Went to Santos with Qian, Kelly, and Diana to celebrate the end of college. They bought a bottle of coke+vodka in a tea bottle.. they said it has a bout 6 shots.. and we chugged it in the street corner.. we're ridiculous.. went into Santos.. it was lame.. then we went to some1's apartment? Ted or some shit by Grand and Bowery. They played beer pong.. we just drank.. a lot. Afterward, we went to K-One.. and sang.. i sang alot and drank .. and ate a lot.. I don't remember much of the night.. or what we talked about.. but Andrew asked Qian if she's hanging out with me tonight hahaha. He walked me home last night which was nice of him. I like his personality but he's not the type for me.. i don't date druggies.. or a really really loaded individual.. with nothing else to do but play with girls and do drugs.. well that's my stereotypes for those people. I just like attention.
Okay im starving.. i ate like 500 calories today cuz i have been a fatty for the past 2 days. Im punishing/disciplining myself :(. 1000 calories tomorrow.. Dude my face looks like pork buns in all my grad pics. FML. Friends won't stop commenting on how young dad looks.. they said he looks 16.. wtf. I wish i can age as gracefully. I think I'm taking on mom's genes though :(
